God has left the building.

I have been reading Matthew tonight and have come to some conclusions. God really does love us. How much you may ask? So much that he has given us his holy spirit to live in us.

Just think back for a minute. What happened in the old temple during the crucifixion? That's right, the vale was torn. Gods presence had left the temple in a hurry. Can you imagine the look on the priests faces when that happened. God has left the building. That makes me smile.

You know what else makes me smile. When I think about what happened at pentecost? The Holy Spirit filled new creation. If any man be in Christ he is a new creation. What are you saying, Wes. I'm saying that if you are in Christ, the Holy Spirit is living inside you. Man, that makes me want to shout!!!!! You and I, as Christians, are filled with the Spirit of God. Wow!!!! What a gift!!! Just think about it. In the old temple, very few could enter into the Holy of Holies, where the spirit of God was, and only after much preparation and only at certain times. But in the new temple (that's you and I), dwells the same spirit of God. We aren't just allowed to enter Gods presence but his spirit is residing in us. All we have to do is ask. If you ask me, that's mo better!!!
