Victory for the perception of America
The long campaign has ended, the election results are in, and I find myself, not morose as one might expect of a McCain supporter after such a defeat, but with a sense of happiness. As one who does not agree with many of Obama's policies, I find myself feeling a sense happiness over the victory for America. Not over a presidential victory but a victory over the perception that America is still oppressive of minorities. Although there are some in our country that still hate minorities and wish to oppress them, this election should offer some proof that the vast majority of our country has come a long way in that respect. This victory is one that every American can be proud of regardless of our political views. We should never forget that God is in control of his creation and that should make us smile regardless of who is in the majority of elected positions.

Nor am I morose. What a great word.
You got it going on, chicken-bone!
Well said.
I'm with you on that Wesley. God is still in control. He uses who he will.
